Continuing with a legacy that started in 1955, Russell Becker Attorneys is the product of decades of experience in the legal field. Our Pietermaritzburg office opened in 2001, under the name Russell Incorporated, specialising in debt recovery. From a staff complement of 10 during the early days, Russell Becker Attorneys now boasts a team of over 30 members – all capable, powerful women in industry.

Our Directors

  • Juanita Becker
Juanita was admitted as an attorney in 2000 after completing her B. Proc degree. She joined the firm Russell Incorporated in 2001 and has since focused her attention exclusively on debt recovery. She was one of the founding members of Russell Becker Incorporated in 2011. Juanita adopts a hands-on approach with the day-to-day administration of the practice. She is passionate about customer satisfaction and known for her determination and focus on meeting client demands promptly and proficiently. She has tenacity, perseverance and drive to deliver to clients. Her hobbies include being outdoors, running and hiking. At home, she enjoys spoiling her two sassy cats.
  • Chetna Nepal

Chetna completed her LLB degree in 2005 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg. She was admitted as an attorney in 2008. She has gained a wealth of knowledge in different areas of Law.   She has however developed a keen interest in debt recovery and joined Russell Becker Incorporated in 2014. Chetna is actively involved in the Pre-Legal and Legal Department with a strong technical understanding of the law. She adopts a strategic and pragmatic approach to achieve the desired results.  Chetna is able to provide clear and concise explanations which can be easily understood by clients as well as individuals without a legal background.  Chetna is meticulous and aims to be an overachiever.  She is definitely an asset to clients.

 

Chetna enjoys mentoring and “teaching”, empowering candidates entering the economic sector and legal field with the skills and foundation required to be successful. Her hobbies include cooking, baking and being a pet parent.
